In the spirit of our mission to make learning more engaging and accessible, we strive to design the Boclips experience to serve users of all abilities. Our video search platform and video library are constantly improved to meet international standards for accessibility, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA, the Section 508 standards in the United States, and the European Accessibility Standard EN 301 549 “Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services.”
Accessibility for End Users/Students
Boclips clients may engage with our product in one or more ways. In most circumstances, students and other end users interact directly with videos that are licensed through Boclips and originally produced by an external content creator. For accessibility purposes, all videos are accompanied with high-quality closed captioning and transcripts. Audio descriptions are available upon request.
Accessibility of Video Search Platform
Boclips clients often use our video search platform internally to find and/or embed selected videos into student-facing resources. Our video search platform has been rigorously tested for accessibility purposes.
The Accessibility Roadmap
It is our goal to make continuous improvements to the accessibility of our platform, as well as to enrich the accessibility resources for the videos that we distribute. To help ensure we are serving our customers and end users as best as we can, Boclips regularly engages with third-party organizations to complete thorough accessibility audits. An in-depth VPAT for our video search platform is available upon request.
