Pairing the video content you find on Boclips for Teachers with best practices is a good way to engage students in learning. One favorite strategy that we'd like to share with you is the 3-2-1 Strategy. This strategy can be used with almost any video on the Boclips for Teachers platform.

For example, the video titled, Where Are Memories Stored? by Neuro Transmissions could be used with students studying Life Science as they work through the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Certainly, students would have three facts, two questions, and one thought to share after watching and listening to Alie Astrocyte share about where memories are stored.
Another example in which the 3-2-1 Strategy could be used is with the PBS NewsHour video titled, Prison Poetry. Allow students to watch this segment and consider the Common Core State Standards around the range of reading and level of text complexity. Ask them to think about three things they learned about reading poetry with this specific example, two questions they have, and one thing the really enjoyed or an opinion they formed as a result of watching the video.
