Developing financial literacy skills is an important step in the transition from K12 to higher education and adulthood. Math starts to feel more real as students make decisions about whether and where to study, if they should buy a car, or how to rent an apartment. Introducing basic financial literacy concepts in the classroom as early as elementary school will help students approach these big decisions in a knowledgeable and confident way.
